Seahawks’ keys to victory: QB Russell Wilson is capable of frustrating the San Francisco pass rush and extending plays. The Seahawks also can spread the 49ers’ defense horizontally and go with a no-huddle attack. RB Chris Carson could have a big day on shotgun handoffs into a spread-out 49ers front. With C Justin Britt out for the year because of a torn ACL, getting the ball out quickly will also be vital against a fast defensive line. On defense, staying disciplined with assignments is key to stopping the 49ers’ offense.

49ers’ keys to victory: QB Jimmy Garoppolo is coming off his best game as a 49er with 317 passing yards and four touchdown passes against Arizona in Week 9’s Thursday night game. The 49ers should also be healthier with LT Joe Staley, RT Mike McGlinchey and FB Kyle Juszczyk all expected to be back on offense. They allow San Francisco to be at its peak from blocking and deception standpoints. Seattle’s offensive line is not good, and Britt’s absence will only make life more difficult against DLs DeForest Buckner, D.J. Jones and Arik Armstead.

Matchup to watch: Seahawks C Joey Hunt vs. Buckner. Buckner is a bona fide game wrecker against the run and as a pass rusher. Hunt won’t have many one-onone matchups versus Buckner, but he’ll provide help on double teams. How effective he is at moving Buckner around could determine how well Seattle does.

Who wins? Seattle has a smart defense and an unorthodox offense that can create problems. But a few extra days off, improving health and a couple of extra wrinkles on both sides of the ball should be enough for the 49ers.
