Giants’ keys to victory: The Giants were without star RB Saquon Barkley the last time they faced the Redskins, but the Giants won 24-3. This time around, though, New York can take advantage of an inferior Washington run defense that ranks in the bottom 10 of the NFL. If the Giants can establish a running game, it will also allow the passing game to open up against a banged-up secondary for the Redskins. Giants rookie WR Darius Slayton has been dynamic as of late.

Redskins keys to victory: Washington has seen its run game taken down a peg after the injury to RB Derrius Guice, but veteran Adrian Peterson has proved capable of shouldering the load and allowing the Redskins to play the possession game. Meanwhile, QB Dwayne Haskins and WR Terry McLaurin have shown real growth of late, connecting for a touchdown in back-to-back weeks. A successful rushing attack will allow Haskins to take a couple of shots downfield to McLaurin.

Matchup to watch: Giants’ Barkley vs. Redskins’ defensive line. The Redskins’ defense is short-handed, with LB Ryan Kerrigan out for the season with a calf injury. But even at full strength, Washington has one of the league’s worst run defenses. An opposing back has rushed for 98 or more yards against it three out of the last four games.

Who wins? The Redskins are a much different team since their Week 4 meeting with the Giants, as they’ve started to click on both offense and defense. Expect a big game from Haskins and McLaurin.
