Cowboys’ keys to victory: Dallas must continue to ride QB Dak Prescott – who has been dealing with a finger injury since being injured in Week 14 – and WR Amari Cooper, who have dominated Philadelphia in their last three meetings. Cooper has been a matchup nightmare for the Eagles, and there’s no reason to believe that Philadelphia’s secondary has done anything to change that scenario. On defense, Dallas must continue to pressure QB Carson Wentz, make tackles on RBs Miles Sanders and Boston Scott in the open field and contain TE Zach Ertz.
Eagles’ keys to victory: The Eagles will have to lean on Sanders and Scott. The Eagles are shorthanded at wide receiver and can’t depend on rookies to solve the Cowboys’ secondary. Look for head coach Doug Pederson to start the Eagles out with an uptempo offense that features plenty of run-pass options and play action.
Matchup to watch: Cowboys’ Cooper vs. Eagles CBs Jalen Mills/Ronald Darby. Cooper has five touchdown receptions of more than 20 yards. He has gone over the 1,000-yard receiving mark for the fourth time in his career and he’s terrorized the Eagles three times since being traded to Dallas. Mills and Darby must play well in order for Philadelphia to have a chance to win.
Who wins? Despite a season filled with injuries and adversity, the Eagles control their own destiny. The win gives them an opportunity to secure a division crown and rest their starters in the regular season finale.
