Chiefs’ keys to victory: QB Patrick Mahomes has had some tame performances over the last month. He needs to rekindle the spark, especially against a good Bears defense. On defense, the Chiefs need to account for Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky’s newly discovered mobility, which has added a new element to his game. Bears WRs Allen Robinson and Anthony Miller have hit their strides this season will challenge Kansas City’s cornerbacks.

Bears’ keys to victory: The defense needs to keep Mahomes from getting outside the pocket, where he’s known to buy time for WRs Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman. The Bears’ pass rushers, notably OLBs Khalil Mack and Leonard Floyd, are going to need to get after Mahomes to alleviate pressure on the secondary. Trubisky also needs to be smart using his mobility to keep Kansas City’s defense on its heels while also remaining strong in the pocket.

Matchup to watch: Bears CBs Kyle Fuller and Prince Amukamara vs. Chiefs’ Hill and Hardman. While Hardman has been contained over the last few weeks, he’s always a threat for a big play, as is Hill. While Fuller has fared well this season, Amukamara is coming back from a hamstring injury and three weeks ago allowed Lions WR Kenny Golladay to get open on a 75-yard score. Those are the kind of big plays that could kill the Bears.

Who wins? Trubisky as been playing well of late and with the backing of one of the league’s best defenses, but Mahomes is the superior quarterback.
