Julio Rodriguez, OF: Rodriguez made waves in his stateside debut, hitting .322 with 17 home runs in 547 at-bats across three levels. Just 19, he could be an elite power hitter who does a good job driving balls to the gaps. Rodriguez runs well for his size but fits best in right field. He’ll head back to high A.
Jarred Kelenic, OF: Kelenic, 20, is a potential superstar with a polished approach and plus hitting tools. He has a compact, line-drive swing with aboveaverage power potential and stolen base ability. He hit 23 home runs and stole 20 bases in 2019 and should return to Class AA to start next season.
Logan Gilbert, RHP: Gilbert, 22, coasted through three levels in his pro debut with a 2.13 ERA and 165 strikeouts in 135 innings. He dominates with a mid-90s fastball that has late action, while all of his secondaries are average to above-average pitches at maturity.
Evan White, 1B: White, 23, has terrific strike-zone discipline and sprays line drives with a compact swing. He’s an exceptional defender who hit .293 with 18 home runs in 365 at-bats at Class AA last season. White signed a contract extension this offseason, likely guaranteeing him a roster spot on opening day.
Noelvi Marte, SS: Marte, 18, is an athletic, toolsy power hitter. He is a plus runner but could fill out his frame over time and eventually move to third base. Marte hit nine homers with 17 steals in his Dominican Summer League debut in 2019. Look for his stateside debut at Class A.
