Bills’ keys to victory: Josh Allen needs to keep the Jets guessing. The dual-threat quarterback made full use of his arm and legs in Week 1, when Buffalo beat the Jets 27-17 in a game that wasn’t nearly as close as the score. Allen threw for 312 yards and two scores and ran for another 57 yards and a touchdown. But in Week 6, he was much less convincing in a 26-17 loss to the Chiefs, totaling 164 combined yards rushing and passing. He did have two passing TDs.

Jets’ keys to victory: Gregg Williams’ defense needs to play like it actually knows Allen is capable of running. That fact seemed lost on the unit in Week 1, and Allen was more or less able to do what he pleased despite getting sacked three times and coughing up two fumbles. If the Jets let Allen run wild again, the Bills’ quarterback will have a much easier time opening up the field in the passing game. And that’s a matchup New York’s secondary can’t win, as Kansas City’s did.

Matchup to watch: Bills CB Tre’Davious White vs. Jets WR Breshad Perriman. In his Jets debut in Week 1, Perriman caught just three passes for 17 yards. In Week 6, he had four receptions for 63 yards, but still no touchdowns. New York is going to need more from him if it wants to upset Buffalo, but that won’t be easy against White, an All-Pro for the first time last season.

Who wins? The Bills are light years ahead of the Jets, who should be more focused on landing the No. 1 pick in next year’s draft. They are well on their way.

Bills, 28-13
