Seahawks’ keys to victory: The Seahawks have ridden on the back of QB Russell Wilson all season, but if there’s a game for Seattle to play complementary football on offense, it’s against Buffalo. The Bills’ defensive front has struggled to cover its gaps against the run all year, so if RB Chris Carson gets a decent workload, things will open up for Wilson. Defensively, the way to slow QB Josh Allen after his hot start has been to take away his No. 1 option, WR Stefon Diggs. While Buffalo’s offense could still move down the field, its scoreboard totals have lacked when Diggs isn’t at his best.
Bills’ keys to victory: Buffalo should have no problem getting Allen going against the Seahawks’ secondary. While getting the ball to Diggs has been a key for the Bills, they should use WR John Brown to open things up for Diggs and the rest of the offense. On the flip side, the Bills need their pass rush to negate Wilson. The Seahawks’ quarterback will make his plays, but the Bills pass rushers, such as DEs Jerry Hughes and Mario Addison, must do their job to keep their team in this game.
Matchup to watch: Seahawks WR DK Metcalf vs. Bills CB Tre’Davious White. The Bills are going to have their hands full trying to track WR Tyler Lockett out of the slot, so they’d be wise to try to lock down Metcalf with White on the outside. Metcalf was averaging nearly 19 yards per reception.
Who wins? While Buffalo’s offense shouldn’t have a problem putting up numbers, keeping up with the Seahawks’ offense will be a very challenging task. Seahawks 31-27
