Giants’ keys to the game: “Close but no cigar” has been a common theme for the team in 2020, and a reason has been the turnover issues of QB Daniel Jones. Jones had two turnovers in a 22-21 loss to Philly in Week 7, and the second sealed the deal. The Giants must protect the football while their defense puts consistent pressure on QB Carson Wentz, who is every bit as turnover-prone as Jones.

Eagles’ keys to the game: The Giants have been stout against the run, but Philly must find a way to get things moving on the ground. They gained just 96 yards on 3.7 yards per carry in Week 7, which allowed New York to remain in the game. RB Miles Sanders, who has not played since Week 6, could be back to provide a spark. If not, RB Boston Scott will need to shoulder that burden.

Matchup to watch: Giants OT Cameron Fleming vs. Eagles DE Brandon Graham. Fleming was among the Giants’ lowest-graded players in Week 7 largely because he struggled against Graham and DE Derek Barnett. With Jones already prone to turning the ball over, the last thing New York can afford is having consistent pressure in the quarterback’s face.

Who wins? Ifs and buts do nothing in the NFL, but if TE Evan Engram had caught a pass late in Week 7, the Giants probably would have picked up the victory. Given how close Big Blue has played games this season, we can expect this game will come down to the wire as well. In this one, Engram redeems himself and makes a big play late.
