Saints’ keys to victory: New Orleans coach Sean Payton has focused more on the running game since Jameis Winston took over at quarterback this season. Against Washington, Payton may want to consider airing it out against a defense that has allowed eight touchdown passes in the last two weeks. Winston hasn’t passed for more than 226 yards in a game this season, but in the Saints’ two wins he has seven touchdown passes. RB Alvin Kamara has rushed for at least 83 yards in three of New Orleans’ four games, but it may be time to get Kamara out in space against Washington’s linebackers in Week 5. Defensively, New Orleans must apply pressure to Washington QB Taylor Heinicke, who has proved he can do damage with time.

Washington’s keys to victory: The Saints have been strong against the run in 2021; not so much against the pass. Washington likes to establish RB Antonio Gibson early in games but often gets away from him. Washington should be aggressive with WRs Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel. With TE Logan Thomas likely out in Week 5, Washington should do more to get Gibson and RB J.D. McKissic involved in the passing game. Defensively, it’s all about containing Kamara.

Matchup to watch: Saints CB Marshon Lattimore vs. Washington’s McLaurin. For WFT to be successful on offense, McLaurin must be heavily involved.

Who wins: Washington’s defense will finally pressure the opposing QB into a major mistake, giving the offense just enough.

Washington, 27-24
