Darnold shows a nose for goal line
These players saw their fantasy values increase or decrease most based on their performances in Week 4:
Sizzlers
QB Sam Darnold, Carolina Panthers: Darnold set an NFL record by rushing for five touchdowns in his first four games. He has also thrown for five TD and completed at least two-thirds of his passes in every game.
QB Taylor Heinicke, Washington Football Team: Against Atlanta, Heinicke had his best day of the season throwing for 290 yards and three scores, with another 43 yards rushing.
RB Latavius Murray, Baltimore Ravens: The Ravens maintained their streak of rushing for at least 100 yards, and though Murray only contributed 59, he did score for the third time in four games.
RB James Conner, Arizona Cardinals: Not just a touchdown-dependent back, Conner is averaging over 13 carries a game and is starting to get involved in the receiving game too. Four TDs scored over the last two weeks should open some eyes.
WR Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers: It’s hard to ignore what Samuel has done, regardless of who’s playing quarterback. Averaging over 10 targets a game, Samuel had his second 150-yard game of 2021 and scored a pair of touchdowns on Sunday vs. Seattle.
Fizzlers
RB Myles Gaskin, Miami Dolphins: Not only have the Dolphins moved away from Gaskin (two carries, 3 yards), they seem to be force-feeding Malcolm Brown and Salvon Ahmed.
RB Sony Michel, Los Angeles Rams: After recording 20 carries as a starter in Week 3, Michel took a back seat as Darrell Henderson returned from injury. He tallied only three carries and lost a fumble.
WR CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys: Lamb’s usage has gone down with the emergence of tight end Dalton Schultz. With Michael Gallup set to return from injury, Lamb doesn’t look like a reliable fantasy starter as much anymore.
WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, Pittsburgh Steelers: Diontae Johnson is the clear top option as Smith-Schuster had just two receptions on eight targets. It’s not all of his fault however, as he was wide open twice on passes Ben Roethlisberger overthrew.
WR Odell Beckham, Cleveland Browns: Even without Jarvis Landry in uniform, Beckham disappointed with just two catches on eight targets for 27 yards. Cleveland seems to prefer a run-heavy attack, which doesn’t bode well for Beckham.
