Titans (5-2) at Colts (3-4)
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis
TV: CBS
Tipico Sportsbook line: Titans
⁄2
Titans’ keys to victory: It’s clear what the formula for success is: The offense must continue to run through RB Derrick Henry, who totaled 144 yards in the first meeting between these teams in Week 3. QB Ryan Tannehill will need to limit turnovers while connecting with star WRs A.J. Brown and Julio Jones. Defensively, DEs Denico Autry and Bud Dupree have to move QB Carson Wentz out of the pocket. LB David Long must shut down the Colts’ rushing attack in the middle of the field.
Colts’ keys to victory: Winning the turnover battle will go a long way. Wentz needs to continue pushing the ball downfield to WRs Michael Pittman Jr. and T.Y. Hilton. Balancing the offense with RB Jonathan Taylor is a necessity, and the line has to provide ample protection. Defensively, DT Grover Stewart must lead the way in stopping the run, while DE Kwity Paye will need to infuse juice into a struggling pass rush.
Matchup to watch: Titans LT Taylor Lewan vs. Colts’ Paye. The Indy pass rush has been less than stellar. Paye is still searching for his breakout game and could help turn the tide if he can best Lewan. If he can’t, the Titans’ offense will control the line of scrimmage.
Who wins? The final regularseason matchup between these two teams will go a long way to determining the AFC South Division winner. The Titans are coming off a huge upset of the Chiefs, while the Colts have yet to prove they can consistently compete with top teams in the conference. It will come down to the wire with the Titans stealing a road win.
