Giants’ keys to victory: The biggest factor in Kansas City’s losses this season is that the team has been shooting itself in the foot. A lot of players’ mistakes have come when the offense has been pressing to make a play. If the Giants can jump out to an early lead, they can perhaps force the Chiefs to make a mistake. They can pin Kansas City’s ears back in the passing game, as Patrick Mahomes has been erratic, and let the likes of DL Leonard Williams and LB Azeez Ojulari make it a long day for the Chiefs if they’re forced to play catch-up.

Chiefs’ keys to victory: The Chiefs need to play a clean game after nothing went right for them in Week 7, a 27-3 loss to the Titans. The defense had drive-extending penalties and gave up long receptions in the passing game. The offense couldn’t protect Mahomes or get out of its own way in terms of penalties, drops and turnovers. They need a mistake-free day against a Giants team that is coming off a big win against the Carolina Panthers.

Matchup to watch: Chiefs LB Nick Bolton vs. Giants QB Daniel Jones. Kansas City has struggled against dual-threat quarterbacks this season. Entering Week 7, Jones had the fourth-most rushing yards in the league by a quarterback. Bolton will look to make his second consecutive start as the MIKE linebacker in the middle and will be tasked with slowing Jones.

Who wins? As much as the Chiefs have struggled this season, they’ve dominated the two NFC East opponents they faced.
