Tipico Sportsbook line: Chargers by 2 ⁄2

Chargers’ keys to victory: The Chargers are among the league leaders in sacks and QB pressures and to win they’ll need to dictate the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. LB Joey Bosa’s matchup with Jordan OT Mailata will be one to watch, while Rashawn Slater’s battle with DE Josh Sweat will be just as intriguing. The Chargers and QB Justin Herbert will look to get running backs Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson involved early in the passing game, while CB Darius Slay’s matchup with WR Keenan Allen could be one to watch.

Eagles’ keys to victory: Replicate the recipe from Detroit: Running the ball early while utilizing the play action pass to get Jalen Hurts some easy throws over the middle. The Eagles will have to have another balanced offensive performance and a solid running game could work wonders for keeping Herbert and the Chargers’ offense off the field. Philadelphia’s secondary has been solid, and it’ll be on T.J. Edwards, Davion Taylor and the Eagles’ linebackers to help dictate the pace up front.

Matchup to watch: Chargers SS Derwin James vs. Eagles TE Dallas Goedert. Healthy for the first time since 2019, James, a game-changing safety, could match up with Goedert man to man. The Chargers play James in five different spots, including both free and strong safety. .

Who wins? The AFC West opponent could allow Nick Sirianni to again focus on the power running game, while mixing in the quick screen and short passing game.

Eagles, 23-18
