Anthony leapfrogs Lebron in sales
New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony has put together an MVP-type season. And fans have noticed. For the first time since the NBA began releasing information about jersey sales in 2001-02, Anthony has the top-selling jersey this season, climbing ahead of Miami Heat AllStar LeBron James, who had the top spot from April 2012 through November 26, 2012. Numbers are based on sales at NBAStore.com and the NBA Store in Manhattan.

Chicago’s Derrick Rose, who has not played this season. 6. Brooklyn’s Deron Williams. 7. Miami’s Dwyane Wade. 8. Boston’s Rajon Rondo. 9. Los Angeles Clippers’ Chris Paul. 10. Clippers’ Blake Griffin. 11. Cleveland’s Kyrie Irving, who is on the list for the first time and is the only second-year player in the top 15. 12. Lakers’ Dwight Howard. 13. MVP voting can be done on Twitter this season. Fans can tweet a vote for one player each day throughout the voting period. The tweet must include a player’s first and last name, along with hashtag #KiaMVP. Online voting on NBA.com/KiaMVPFanVote will allow fans to submit their votes for MVP by ranking their top five choices.
The combined fan vote on Twitter and NBA.com/KiaMVPFanVote will count as one vote, with the remaining 122 votes coming from a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the USA and Canada. Fans can cast their MVP votes until April 18.
The league will announce the results at the end of the regular season.
