SIX NEW TEAMS JOIN SUPER 25 RANKINGS

After a week of upsets for Super 25 high school football teams, unbeaten No. 18 Bergen Catholic (Oradell, N.J.) and No. 21 St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, N.J.) lead six new teams into the rankings. Bergen Catholic improved to 2-0 by thrashing defending Non-Public Group 4 state champ St. Peter’s Prep (Jersey City) 4717 Saturday as Ryan McCarthy ran for 116 yards and two touchdowns. St. Joseph Regional (2-0) held off then-No. 18 St. Edward (Lakewood, Ohio) as middle linebacker Jake Trotter returned an intercepti­on 36 yards for a TD. The other new teams: No. 22 La Salle (Cincinnati), which defeated then-No. 20 Colerain (Cincinnati) 39-36 as Jarell White ran for two TDs and returned a fumble for another score; No. 23 Male (Louisville), which defeated then-No. 22 Trinity (Louisville) 42-13 behind Devin Gentry’s three TD runs; No. 24 Archbishop Rummel (Metairie, La.), which defeated Covington 48-0 as David Hen
