AUSTRALIAN BOXER BROWNE DIES OF INJURIES FROM BOUT

Jr., 28, has died of injuries suffered Friday in an IBF super featherweight regional title bout against the Philippines’ Carlo
Magali. Browne, the father of two, was knocked out 30 seconds from the end of the final round of the 12-round bout. He regained consciousness but collapsed and was rushed to Sydney’s Liverpool Hospital in critical condition with a brain injury. Police confirmed his death Monday and said a postmortem would be conducted.
