SOLAR-POWERED PLANE TAKES OFF ON FINAL FLIGHT

Solar Impulse 2 took off from Cairo early Sunday local time in the final leg of its around-theworld journey that started more than a year ago.

The experimental, solar-powered airplane is headed to Abu Dhabi, where it began its trip in March 2015. The 14-year solar project, which cost more than $100 million, promotes clean technologies. — Jon Swartz
