— Jessica Durando FIRE AT MOSQUE ATTENDED BY PULSE GUNMAN IS ARSON

An overnight fire at a Florida mosque, once attended by the gunman in the Orlando nightclub shooting, has been ruled arson, authorities said Monday.

A spokesman for the Islamic Center of Fort Pierce said they must wait until the facility is no longer considered a crime scene to evaluate damage from the fire. The fire started in a building in the back of the main building, police said.

The blaze at the facility on Midway Road — where Orlando Pulse nightclub mass shooter Omar Mateen used to worship — started at 12:40 a.m. Monday and the cause is under investigation, officials said.

According to the St. Lucie County (Fla.) Sheriff ’s Office, video showed a person approaching the east side of the building just before a flash appeared and the fire broke out. — Will Greenlee,

North Korea is capable of detonating another nuclear device at its main atomic test site any time it chooses, Seoul officials said Monday, as the U.S. reportedly planned to send two nuclear-capable supersonic bombers to the South in a show of force against Pyongyang.

The speculation came three days after the North conducted its fifth atomic bomb explosion. Friday’s test was the North’s most powerful test to date, and its claim to have used “standardized” warheads has sparked worries it was making headway in its push to develop small and sophisticated warheads to be topped on missiles.
