WESTWORLD
HBO, Oct. 2 (Sunday, 9 ET/PT)
If you’re looking for the fall show that has the most riding on its figurative shoulders, look no further. With Game of
Thrones nearing its end, HBO desperately needs a new hit — and it has spent a lot of time and money in the hopes that this twist on Michael Crichton’s 1973 movie will fill the bill. Once again, we’re in a futuristic, Western-themed amusement park, where guests use robots to fulfill their every fantasy, dark and otherwise. The risky twist? This time, the story is told from the point of view of the robots.
