I cannot support either of them, but Donald Trump did not appear presidential or even knowledgeable during Monday’s debate. I keep hoping one or the other will quit and give someone else a shot. Thomas Carper

Trump showed America his true colors. He lied repeatedly (global warming, Iraq War, immigration), fear-mongered and rambled on the issues. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton had real policies that would be good for the country. She may not be perfect, but she’ll be a calm hand at the wheel and won’t embarrass our nation the way Trump did on Monday. Nathan Smith

No doubt that strictly on debating points, Clinton won. So what? Clinton had nothing new to bring to the table. It was the same old, worn out, socialist, progressive, Democratic policies that have dragged this country to its knees. The country needs new problem-solving and outsider remedies.
