CHARGES FILED AGAINST PAIR WHO RUSHED LOCHTE
Prosecutors filed charges against the two men who charged swimmer Ryan Lochte during a filming of Dancing With the Stars this month, according to court records. Sam Sotoodeh, 59, and
Barzeen Soroudi, 25, were each charged with misdemeanor violations of the Los Angeles municipal code that covers unlawful activities at sporting events, theatricals and exhibitions. The city attorney’s office is pursuing two counts against each of the men under a law that bans spectators from interrupting events and entering unauthorized areas. The men, who wore white shirts with “Lochte” crossed out, were de- tained by security at CBS Television City, where the show is filmed. Los Angeles police spokesman Mike Lopez told USA TODAY Sports neither man touched or hurt anybody. Sotoodeh and Soroudi are scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.
