NATIONALS CATCHER RAMOS OUT FOR POSTSEASON
Wilson Ramos has suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and will miss the rest of the season, Washington Nationals manager Dusty Baker told reporters Tuesday. It’s a devastating blow for the Nationals, who will have to rely on a combination of Jose Lobaton and Pedro Severino behind the plate in Ramos’ absence. They called up Spencer Kieboom as a third catcher Tuesday. Surgery will be scheduled next week. Ramos, who suffered the same injury in 2012, was batting .307 with 22 home runs and 80 RBI over 131 games.
