TONIGHT ON TV
ONE DAY AT A TIME NETFLIX, FRIDAY TV giant Norman Lear, the man behind such classics as All in the
Family, Good Times and Maude, returns with an update of another of his hits, One Day at a Time. The original focused on a divorced mom and her two daughters in Indianapolis; the Netflix version centers on three generations of a Cuban-American family living in Los Angeles.
NCIS: LA, MADAM SECRETARY, ELEMENTARY CBS, SUNDAY, 8 ET/PT CBS’ Sunday lineup makes its winter return. It starts with
NCIS: LA, where Sam goes undercover while Cullen mulls over his relationship with Anna (guest star Bar Paly), and ends with
Elementary, where Joan is upset because Shinwell (Nelsan Ellis) isn’t taking his informant training seriously enough. In between comes Madam Secretary, which is still running its presidential election. If you can go through one of those again this soon, you’re a stronger person than I am.
TO TELL THE TRUTH ABC, SUNDAY, 8 ET/PT Anthony Anderson hosts a double episode of the latest version of this warhorse game show. The panel for the first hour is Lara Spencer, David Arquette, Tom Bergeron and Sherri Shepherd; for the second hour, it’s Kal Penn, Adam Rodriguez, Nikki Glaser and Justin Long. There’s also some awards show on NBC Sunday, but to tell the truth, I wouldn’t go near that with a 10-foot pole.
