B.J. Novak always knows when Aaron Rodgers is playing.

“I’m told so often that I look like Aaron Rodgers,” Novak said. “Every time (the Green Bay Packers are) playing, I get all these Twitter mentions about how he’s fumbled or something. So I have a special affinity for him.”

Despite their resemblance, Novak is not the biggest football fan and definitely not a Packers fan. He only watches the New England Patriots in the postseason. Beyond that, he also never played football as a young kid, growing up unlike Nick Offerman and John Carroll Lynch, his co-stars in his new movie The Founder.

Lynch says he played until his freshman year of high school, when he decided to ditch the sport to get into musicals. Offerman says he played high school football.

“My dad was very good at baseball and basketball, so I was happy I was good at hitting people with my body,” Offerman told USA TODAY Sports’ For The Win for the weekly celebrity pick ’em. “I held the school record for interceptions with seven.”

Novak and Offerman have interesting suggestions about how to improve the game of football.

“They could do more with those lines,” Novak said, referring to the line of scrimmage and first-down lines that have become an institution during any football telecast. “There could be some cartoons going on while they’re setting up a play.”
