CAR DRIVES INTO ALABAMA MARDI GRAS PARADE; 11 HURT
Several members of the Gulf Shores High School marching band were injured Tuesday morning after a car drove into the crowd ahead of the Mardi Gras Day parade.
A city spokesperson told local media that 11 band members were injured in the crash, and that three of them are in critical condition.
It is the second instance in less than a week of a car crashing into a Mardi Gras crowd. Late Saturday, a pickup plowed into a crowd watching the parade of the Krewe of Endymion, injuring 32 people.
