COURT: GM MUST FACE IGNITION-SWITCH CASES
The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday let stand a lower court ruling that General Motors no longer can avoid lawsuits from potential victims of ignitionswitch defects that came before its 2009 bankruptcy. The decision may expose the new GM to new liabilities for a defect that killed at least 124 people and injured 275 in small cars made by the old GM, such as the Chevrolet Cobalt and Saturn Ion.
