WEIGHT WATCHERS SURGES WITH WINFREY’S HELP

The star power generated by investor and endorser Oprah Winfrey helped power Weight Watchers to a healthy profit in the first quarter, reversing a sizable loss in the same quarter last year. The company said the number of Weight Watchers members was up 16% year over year to 3.6 million.
