Sally Yates: Unmasking the Trump administration
Former acting attorney general Sally Yates was so troubled by then-national security adviser Michael Flynn misleading Vice President Pence about communications with the Russian ambassador, that she warned the White House counsel that Flynn was vulnerable to blackmail.
I think the White House knew Flynn had lied and officials still kept allowing him to run the National Security Council, with access to confidential security briefings. That level of incompetence is criminal. The damage to our national security was immense. Republicans should be embarrassed. Raffi Roupen
I wonder what President Trump has in his bag of tricks to divert attention away from this. Maybe he can say Joe Biden wiretapped his golf clubs. Terri A. Williams
Has anyone ever produced any evidence that Flynn or any other Republican broke any law? President Obama holdovers have been a thorn in Trump’s side, and the sooner he gets rid of them the better. Frank Elliott
Didn’t Trump once say that he would surround himself with “the best” people? Ken Brockington
I don’t usually waste time watching congressional hearings, but it was worth it to see the massive fail of Republicans to discredit Yates.
The only defense for this obvious attempt to cover up Trump’s business ties to Russia is to “blame Obama” and out the “leaker(s).” John Bertelson
At worst Trump is a traitor and a criminal, at best he’s a moron who surrounds himself with sycophants, traitors and idiots. Either way, it’s hilarious that Trump’s the guy who claimed he would drain the swamp. Jeff Schroeder
Flynn was vulnerable to being blackmailed for talking to the Russians about sanctions? Really?
People actually believe that a military intelligence man would let himself be blackmailed over one conversation? Chad Clausen
