uBirth certificate and photo ID for your own benefits.

uMarriage certificate for claiming spousal benefits along with the Social Security number of your spouse.

uMarriage and divorce certificates and Social Security number of your ex-spouse if you are claiming divorced spousal benefits.

uMarriage certificate and death certificate if you are claiming deceased spousal benefits.

uBirth certificates of dependents if you are claiming surviving children benefits.
