CRITIC’S CORNER
THE BIG BANG THEORY CBS, 8 ET/PT
Having finally discovered the joys of love, sex and women thanks to Amy, Sheldon now faces something he never has before: temptation. Amy, you see, is away at Princeton — and Dr. Roman Nowitzki (returning guest star Riki Lindhome), his former admirer, is back and possibly available, which has his friends very worried. Luckily, they don’t have to worry that this season finale is the show’s last: This CBS hit will be back come fall.
MOM CBS, 9 ET/PT
There are a host of other season finales Thursday, including CW’s Riverdale (9 ET/PT), NBC’s Chicago Med (9 ET/PT), CBS’ Life in Pieces (9:30 ET/PT) and ABC’s The Catch (10 ET/PT). But aside from Big Bang, the only one I wouldn’t want to miss is
Mom, which finds Bonnie turning to her newly discovered brother for help.
AMERICAN RACE TNT, 9 ET/PT
For four hours over the next two nights, TNT and former NBA star Charles Barkley will journey across the country in an attempt to spark conversations about one of America’s most important and contentious subjects: race. But Barkley’s goal is larger than just starting discussions; by talking to experts and regular citizens alike about such tough topics as police and race relations, Muslims in America, immigration and Hollywood stereotyping, he’s hoping
Race can find and support potential solutions.
