This will be a much better trip than President Obama’s apology tour where he was in a dither because he felt the USA was overbearin­g and not humble enough. He no doubt had good intentions, but we all know that good intentions aren’t good enough. Peter Siano Sr.

All those promises on the campaign trail and strong language only to watch him bow to convention when he is faced with the reality of the problems.

Meanwhile, his admirers, who continuall­y gloss over the gross inconsiste­ncies from his campaign rhetoric to his current actions, look on thinking the emperor actually has on clothes. Mark Smith
