NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. on Twitter, reacting to the death Monday of American motorcycle racer Nicky Hayden, 35, five days after being hit by a car while training on his bicycle in Italy. Hayden suffered severe cerebral damage and multiple traumatic injuries. Hayden won the MotoGP title in 2006. He was 13th in this season’s Superbike standings.
