STALEY WOULD VISIT TRUMP WHITE HOUSE

South Carolina coach Dawn Staley said she has not received an invitation to bring her national cham- pionship women’s basketball team to the White House but said she would have no problem meeting President Trump. Staley said the significance of the place would make a White House visit worthwhile regardless of the occupant. Some professional and college athletes have said they would not go to the White House to meet with Trump given the controversial nature of some of his statements and policies. Staley said she has conveyed to players it’s their choice whether to go or not.
