NASHVILLE CMT, 9 ET/PT
The first half of Nashville’s fifth season closed with the death of Rayna James (series star Connie Britton). The midseason premiere is appropriately called “Back in the Saddle Again,” as the show navigates its new reality without Britton’s presence. The premiere also jumps forward a few months, giving the show, its characters and its fans time to move past the trauma of Rayna’s accident.
THE AMAZING RACE CBS, 10 ET/PT
CBS’ reality competition show closes out its 29th season with three teams racing to the finish line. In a first, the around-theworld race paired complete strangers as teammates, competing in mental and physical challenges. We’ll see how close their bond is when one team takes home the $1 million prize.
NBA FINALS GAME 1 ABC, 9 ET/6 PT
The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors face off in the NBA Finals for the third year in a row. While there might not have been too much suspense in the run-up to the Finals, the games will hopefully offer a little more to wow fans as LeBron James and Steph Curry go at it again for the tie-breaking championship win.
Robert Bianco is taking the summer off, and will return in September.
