PACINO TO PLAY PATERNO IN HBO MOVIE
In an upcoming movie about the Jerry Sandusky sex scandal at Penn State, veteran actor Al Pacino will play Joe Paterno, according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter. The movie doesn’t have a title and there isn’t a release date, but it will appear on HBO. Paterno is the winningest coach in college football, with 409 victories at Penn State from 1966 to 2010. He was fired in November 2011 during the investigation into Sandusky. He died two months later from lung cancer at 85. Sandusky is serving a 30-year minimum prison term after being found guilty on 52 counts of sexual abuse of young boys.
