OKLAHOMA REPEATS AS NCAA SOFTBALL CHAMP

The Oklahoma Sooners rallied to defeat Florida 5-4 Tuesday in Oklahoma City to complete a sweep of the Women’s College World Series and repeat as the NCAA softball champion. The Sooners won the series opener 7-5 in 17 innings Monday. The matchup between programs that have split the last four national titles was the longest championsh­ip series game in NCAA history. It lasted 51⁄ hours. Oklahoma 2 finished the season 61-9 and Florida 58-10. The Sooners have won the national title four times, including in 2000 and 2013.
