Sandberg wrote Option B after the unexpected death of her 47-year-old husband, Dave Goldberg. Sandberg and Goldberg, a Silicon Valley executive, were on vacation in Mexico when Goldberg died in 2015.
Sandberg ’s Lean In, a No. 1 USA TODAY best seller, launched a movement to change the culture of women in the workplace. Sandberg says she hopes the new book, written with psychologist Adam Grant, can do the same to change how our culture treats grief.
