BRONCOS DON’T WANT WIDEOUT DECKER BACK
There will be no reunion between free agent wide receiver Eric Decker and the Denver Broncos. Broncos coach Vance Joseph said Tuesday that his team was satisfied with the team’s crop of receivers and had no interest in adding any players to the mix. Decker spent the first four years of his NFL career with the Broncos and was part of Denver’s record-setting offense in 2013 before signing with the New York Jets in 2014. Decker was released by the Jets on Monday.
The Washington Redskins named Doug Williams senior vice president of player personnel. Williams, who quarterbacked Washington to the win for the Super Bowl XXII title, will report to the team president. Williams, who has 11 years of experience in scouting personnel roles in the NFL, previously served as a front office executive for the Redskins, a position he began in February 2014.
