FX is going Versace in 2018. The network is flipping the broadcast order of the next two editions of ‘American Crime Story’ to lead with the story of fashion designer Gianni Versace’s murder in Miami in 1997 ahead of the ‘Crime Story’ edition focusing on Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath. Oscar-winner Penelope Cruz is playing the murder victim’s sister, designer Donatella Versace, with Edgar Ramirez as Gianni Versace and ‘ Glee’s Darren Criss as serial killer Andrew Cunanan.
