THE GREAT BRITISH BAKING SHOW PBS, FRIDAY, 9 ET/PT (TIMES MAY VARY)

The delightful baking show that makes you Google “traybake” returns to PBS with 12 new contestants ready to have their bread prodded by judge Paul Hollywood. The premiere features the chipper bakers attempting difficult cakes. These episodes aired in the U.K. last year, and mark the final season with the original cast, including Hollywood and Mary Berry and hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins. But, fear not, PBS will air more episodes from earlier seasons next year. Story, 2D

REIGN CW, FRIDAY, 9 ET/PT

CW’s soapy retelling of the life of Mary, Queen of Scots, was never historically accurate in its plot, dialogue or costuming, but it was always a juicy and entertaining diversion. In tonight’s series finale, Mary (Adelaide Kane) tries to survive.

AMERICAN GODS STARZ, SUNDAY, 9 ET/PT

The strange but beautiful first season of American Gods comes to a close tonight, after last week’s detour to fill in some back story about Mad Sweeney (Pablo Schreiber) and Laura (Emily Browning) when Shadow (Ricky Whittle) and Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane) were absent. With the finale, titled “Come to Jesus,” hopefully Gods will answer at least some of fans’ many questions.
