TV rating for Sunday’s final round of the U.S. Open on Fox, the second-lowest overnight rating for the final round in at least the last 29 years and an 8% drop from last year. The only U.S. Open to have lower rating for the final round was a 3.3 in 2014, NBC’s last year televising the event. This year’s U.S. Open was the first since 1994 to lack Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. Defending champ Dustin Johnson and major winners Rory McIlroy and Jason Day missed the cut.
