FRANCONA HOSPITALIZED
Cleveland Indians manager Ter
ry Francona was hospitalized overnight and missed Tuesday’s game. Doctors at the Cleveland Clinic “have ruled out any major health issues” after Francona had several tests at the hospital, the Indians said in a statement. Bench coach Brad Mills managed Tuesday’s game against the Texas Rangers. “He will continue to be monitored over the next several weeks to determine the nature of his recent symptoms,” the team said about Francona. Francona is expected to return to the team Wednesday. Francona left early in Monday’s game and was evaluated by the team medical staff. He experienced similar symptoms when he left a game June 14 and was taken to a hospital.
