Lana Del Rey and A$AP Rocky’s ‘Groupie Love,’ ‘Summer Bummer’
Lana Del Rey is stepping out of her comfort zone — and it’s paying off. Ahead of her new album Lust for
Life, Lana shared two new tracks this week featuring A$AP Rocky, the rapper who played the JFK to her Jackie O in her 2012 music video for
National Anthem. While both songs,
Groupie Love and Summer Bummer, still have her usual dreamy vocals and melody, the latter features a beat-heavy backing track and an extra verse from rapper Playboi Carti, leaning into hiphop influences that Lana has only toyed with in the past. A$AP Rocky’s double feature isn’t the only collaboration on Lust
For Life, which also features guest appearances from Stevie Nicks, the Weeknd and Sean Lennon. Lust for
Life arrives July 21.
