SALVATION CBS, 9 ET/PT The summer thriller is a pretty straightforward adventure series from CBS, but it’s just engaging enough to keep you interested. In the second episode, Darius (Santiago Cabrera) and Liam (Charlie Rowe) attempt to invent theoretically impossible technology to save the planet from an incoming asteroid, and Grace (Jennifer Finnigan) takes a huge risk to help. YOUNGER TV LAND, 10 ET/PT It’s been a dark season on

Younger, as Liza (Sutton Foster) has dealt with the consequences of telling Kelsey (Hillary Duff ) that she’s a 40-year-old woman posing as a 26-year-old. Their relationship has been slightly repaired since Kelsey saw Liza drop everything to help her daughter in a medical emergency. This week the pair head back into the dating pool, and it’s a little harder than they realize.

SPEECHLESS ABC, 8:30 ET/PT

Speechless, which follows a family with a son with cerebral palsy, was one of the most charming and funny additions to the broadcast lineup last season, and ABC is re-running one of the episodes that gets to the heart of what makes the show work. In “H-E-R-- HERO,” a random student at the high school attempts to use JJ (Micah Fowler) as his “inspiration” for an essay contest, despite not knowing him.
