True Blood author Charlaine Harris lends another book series to TV. Midnight is set in a small town that sits on the veil between the living and the dead and draws supernatural creatures. One of them is Manfred, a medium who’s half honest and on the run. Things start going badly when one Midnighter shows up dead and another is arrested for her murder. For fans of supernatural TV horror, it’s a fun and effectsheavy addition to the genre. Just maybe eat dinner before you watch the ghosts appear in the form of their rotting, bloated corpses.
