THE FITNESS OF PRESIDENTS

-

President Obama’s

daily fitness regimen included aerobics and resistance weight training. A report in 2016 from his doctor found the former smoker was actually in better shape than he was two years before.

President George W. Bush,

who WebMD called “President Buff,” used the elliptical machine two days, lifted weights two days, ran 4 miles four days and did “lots of stretching” in a typical week. Bush was among the most physically active of presidents.

President Clinton

comes the closest to what Newt Gingrich calls Trump’s “middle American eating habits.” Like Trump, Clinton didn’t drink alcohol. He ran with Secret Service agents five days a week.

President Trump

is 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs at least 236 pounds, which is overweight. He doesn’t exercise beyond playing golf (he rides a cart) and is a fan of fast food.
