CONNECTICUT Hamden:

A 13-year-old boy got an unpleasant surprise when he woke up to find a skunk in his bed. Police say the skunk apparently climbed through a hole in a trash can that someone later brought inside. An animal control officer called to the house said the smell of skunk was “poignant.”
