Trump’s embrace of “alternative facts” and constant bashing of the news media alarmed enough Americans to send Orwell’s chilling 1949 dystopian classic all the way to No. 1 on USA TODAY’s Best-Selling Books list earlier this year. If Trump has never read this classroom staple in which “Big Brother” is always watching, maybe now’s the time.
