WILL I SEE IT FROM WHERE I AM?
Everyone in the U.S. will see at least a partial solar eclipse, when a part of the sun is covered by the moon. However, only folks in the “path of totality” will see a total solar eclipse. The path, in which the moon’s shadow sweeps across the Earth’s surface, will cross parts of 12 states: Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Some of the larger cities directly in the path include Nashville; and Greenville, Columbia and Charleston in South Carolina. Part of Kansas City is in the path of totality, while downtown St. Louis is barely outside the path.
