BUFFETT LOSES ONCOR DEAL TO SEMPRA ENERGY

A San Diego-based power company snatched Texas electrical grid giant Oncor from billionaire investor Warren Buffett, scuttling a deal the billionaire investor had banked on to bolster his energy business. Sempra Energy said Monday it had reached a deal to acquire Oncor parent company Energy Future Holdings for $9.45 billion, topping the $9 billion deal by Berkshire Hathaway Energy.
